About the Designer
Astha Narang graduated from The Pearl Academy Of Fashion in New Delhi. Her first collection, which was showcased at Lakme Fashion Week, was inspired by folds and origami which was integrated with Indian textiles and embroidery.
Ancient handwork and techniques with modern treatment along with texture of fabric and silhouettes created ensembles that are chic and contemporary with the culture being intact.
But as we all know that Fashion is constantly evolving and with time her collections included more of traditional "silma" and "sitaara" work on different silhouettes, which gave a brand image of "modern shimmer and sparkle while keeping in touch with tradition at the same time".
The brand's forte is to keep the Indian traditional handwork alive with contemporary silhouettes.
